POME support
POME turns an iPhone Duo into a folded card: the inner screen is the inside, the outer screen is the cover. On any other iPhone, and on iPad, the whole screen is the paper and a flap at the bottom opens and closes it.
Writing. Pull a sheet from the pile at the bottom of the desk, or hold the pile and pick a paper from the ring. Open the phone to write inside, close it to write the cover. The pen tab at the top (the pen beside the status pill on a Duo; the inkwell, or a Pencil Pro's squeeze, on an iPad) opens the pens, the colours and the width; undo and redo sit in the top row. The smiley under the paper plane adds emoji and stickers; hold a sticker to move it or take it off.
Passing. Tap the paper plane on the cover and choose where it goes. Pass in Messages opens a Messages sheet right there with your pome in it: pick who it's for and send. A passed pome leaves your desk. (Messages' Send Later does not take a POME bubble; a pome goes when you send it.)
iMessage only. A pome travels inside iMessage. In a green thread (SMS or RCS) nothing arrives on the other side, so for those friends pass it by AirDrop, Mail or Files instead.
Receiving. In Messages, tap the POME bubble ("A pome for you"): POME opens with the pome on your desk, closed. A long pome, or one with stickers, comes as a file instead: tap it, then Share, then POME. Open the phone to read inside (on another iPhone or an iPad, tap or pull the flap). Received pomes stay until you delete them, and a deleted one stays gone.
Templates. Hold a draft on the desk and choose Save as template. A template never changes; take a copy whenever you need one, on the desk or from POME in Messages.
Settings. The gear at the top of the desk: the pens on offer, haptics, the pen tray on an iPad, and the first pome's walk again.
